In our Children’s Church time, we have been going around the world, learning about the many countries and cultures and how the Jesus film has impacted them.  Each week we taste a food from that particular country (chocolate was our favorite!).  Some of the countries have included Mexico, Bolivia, Hatai, Rwanda, Ghana, and Egypt.  Miracles have happened in many places.  We learned that a baby was healed in Ghana, much like the child Jesus healed in the film.  In watching this miracle of the baby’s healling, 3,000 people were saved that very day in Ghana!  In Egypt, 33,000 people gathered in a cave to view the film.  The crowds kept coming until in a week’s time, 500,000 people had heard the gospel.  In Haiti, we learned that since the terrible earthquake and viewing the Jesus’ film, the country’s President has given his heart to Jesus.  Along with that, 300 voodoo priests threw down their paraphernalia, and surrendered their lives to Jesus.  Over the course of the summer we will be visiting another five countries.  At the end of our study, we are planning a time to show the film in one sitting to all the children, and invite friends to come, too!  We are looking at August 13^th as a possible date.  Once this is approved we will be announcing this to you.  Of course, adults are welcome, too.
