Dr. Ann Frohbieter is Organist at Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church and Organist-Choirmaster at Congregation Emanu El, Houston. She holds degrees in music from Indiana University, Southern Methodist University, and the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University where she received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree under Clyde Holloway. She has held organist positions at several large Texas churches, including Houston's Grace Presbyterian Church and St. Luke's United Methodist Church, and Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas. Dr. Frohbieter has been featured in recital at national conventions of the American Guild of Organists (AGO) and the Guild of Temple Musicians, and internationally in concerts and music festivals in Austria, England, Germany, and Canada. She is a past dean of the Houston AGO chapter and currently serves on the AGO's national NYACOP committee which oversees the premier organ performance competition in the United States.
